Donato Maglio reconstructs a story “little known and, for many too many years, deliberately forgotten”, setting it beside that of Giorgio Perlasca: two men with no power at all who, once they understood what was happening, chose to act at the risk of their own lives.
With a preface by Franco Perlasca and an introductory essay by the historian Raffaele Danese. It opens with the message to young people by Sami Modiano, deported as an Italian Jew and a survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
